GRADING
Students will be graded based on the homework (25%), the quizzes (15%), special projects (20%), and the midterm (20%) and the final (20%) exams.
At the end of the semester students with total points in the 70 to 100% range will be assigned semester grades
roughly on the curve: 1/4 A's, 1/2 B's, and 1/4 C's.
Students with point totals between 55 and 70% will receive a D; those with point totals below 55% will fail.
Plus and minus grades will be assigned.
